KIM have started the development work to create a new Cloud hosted database for facilities management for a UK University client. The software delivers improved service levels for planned and emergency maintenance through student and staff facing reporting portals that create and allocate work to the required services teams. The automation of job allocation removes the need for administration to manually intervene and improves the efficiency of the department who save many hundreds of hours.
The software covers pre-scheduled work, routine checks and maintenance and priority repairs with an associated workflow process for estimates, contractors quotes, materials costs and budget code authorisations. Contractors will be able to manage their contracts and receive new job requests and estimates through their own web portal and will be able to update work using a designated smart device app that will be launched within the New Year release.
