Student and Staff Support Services

Innovative support software for Universities

Our software has been thoughtfully developed to help universities take an impactful approach to supporting their people.

KIM’s student and staff Support Services platform enables organisations to build an improved culture by supporting mental health topics within the university. To truly engage a campus and maintain a healthy culture, our system should feature within a universities people toolkit. There are many benefits to a better campus wellbeing strategy, KIM’s Student and Staff support platform can contribute towards improved campus morale and engagement, a healthier and more inclusive culture, improving staff retainment and ultimately providing an effective solution to managing the individuals welfare case.

Developed through experience

KIM Software have worked closely with UK Police forces, Universities, Government agencies and large organisations for over two decades and have used this experience to build software that streamlines processes enabling cost reductions, whilst efficiently and effectively managing cases within their organisational community.

Our software has been thoughtfully developed, with the help and collaboration of organisations and National Leads within the public sector, to provide the tools and resources to effectively
Some of the many benefits of the system to staff are;

  • Available as a responsive website design, all system users have immediate access to resources within departments, web resources, crisis support, and supportive peer groups.
  • Individuals can manage their own space and build their own network. The Group chat and messaging functions have additional features, which include; creating support group chats (with internal organisation and external contacts) video calling functions and the ability to share various media types or resources.
  • Organisations have the ability to record and monitor support strategies.
  • Available access for individuals to connect with invited professionals that make up the support network for the individual.
  • The system is designed to be fully supportive to both the individual and to those that provide support to ensure all those involved receive the most effective tools. Every element works on a confidential structure to enable full privacy.
  • Complete anonymity where chosen by the owner.

Senior staff members have the facility to create click counted reports to help manage staff needs.

In addition to the above features, the staff app enables remote working, in real time, reducing the need for staff to return to a physical point for administration purposes. The system also provides for automated text and email alerts for those within the organisation.

KIM have provided a unique software feature within the app that benefits staff, students and recipients. This is the facility to make live video calls in urgent situations. An important feature for those staff working in the off site.

Where cases are recorded the software can facilitate any associated file uploads, to include the following file types; video, CCTV, audio, photographic, documents and scanned, handwritten statements. Where needed. Sensitive material can be saved and held as ‘private’ for selective users.
