Contracts have recently been signed between University East London and KIM that transfers support requirements and future product development of Rix Media and Research WIKIs, used to support those users with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Pioneering research projects, in partnership with thousands of individuals with learning disabilities, their families and supporters, have enabled the development of an unique Multimedia Advocacy approach to person-centred planning. Multimedia Advocacy enables people with learning disabilities to use self-made media to take greater control of their own lives and challenge their social exclusion. KIM will be working closely with user representatives, the research team and UEL to further enhance the experience of users through new product features and smart device platforms.
